How do I purchase Electricity Token?

As a new user, you can choose whether to register on Sapa or not. When you sign up, your login details are automatically saved for the next time you purchase electricity on the same device (phone, computer etc). As a returning user on another device, login using your registered mobile number and password.

1. Once you click on Buy Electricity, the input details page will be displayed on your screen. Select the service (AEDC, IBEDC, KAEDC); select account (prepaid/postpaid) enter your meter number, the amount you wish to vend for and proceed to select the payment option (Mastercard/visa card, verve card and USSD/bank transfer/Sapa Wallet) and click on continue to payment information.

2. The name and address registered on the electricity distribution company’s system, the meter number, and the total amount will be displayed on the payment details page to check if the details are valid. Click on pay, fill in the required card information if you are paying with your card, you could also select an option to either Bank Transfer or USSD.

3. Once you successfully pay your token is sent as an SMS to your registered mobile number, your email (if you provided an email address when you created an account) and saved as transactions on your account.
